Kinja'd!!!

I finally got my scooter serviced and ready to ride. I changed the oil, the gear lube, and the spark plug. A new air filer will be here sometime today. Oh, and I had to put a new battery in because my dumb ass was too lazy to put it in a trickle charger over the winter.

Unfortunately, it’s been raining nearly nonstop for 24 hours now, so it’s not going to get ridden for a while still.

I want to take the scooter with me to Road America this summer when I go see the IndyCar race. How dumb would it be to ride on grass and gravel (hopefully both dry!) with these tires?

Kinja'd!!!

Also, the RallyMetro is ready to rock!

just dont do anything stupid and you’ll be fine. you dont need off roading tires to go on grass and gravel.

As long as you drink about 38 beers first, you’ll be fine

As an ex moto cross rider who broke his collar bone on dewey morning grass. No problem go for it. Seriously though just keep the speed down and you’ll be fine.

That track is on my bucket list. Enjoy!

Not as such, it’s a belt driven CVT. It calls for .19 quarts of 90 weight in the rear end thingamabob.

Thanks! My buddy and I went in on that for camping at race tracks. Scored it for $600.

I’ve been there a few times, it’s fantastic. This will be my first time with a scooter to get around and really see everything.

Yep, just take it easy, especially on gravel. Loosen up on the grips a bit as well, your insitncts will tell you to clamp down but that will just wear you out. Let the bike work underneath of you.

No problems at all on gravel and dry grass.

Wet grass can be very slick, but keep your speed down and ride smooth and you’ll be fine there too.

It is. Not only is it a great place to watch a race, but the place itself is beautiful.

I knew about the CVT, but I had no idea there was gear fluid until I downloaded the manual a few weeks ago. The maintenance schedule calls for changing the oil, gear fluid, spark plug, and air filter at 4,300 miles. I completely coincidentally rode it last year to 4313 miles ... perfect!

I’ve got a little something for the body man to make up for it. The garage space was needed to work on the camper.
